<div> </div>MANILA — The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said Monday that most airports under its jurisdiction have resumed normal operations after Super Typhoon Uwan, with no major damage reported.Initial inspections showed that the typhoon’s impact was largely limited to ceilings, roofs, glass panels, and perimeter fences, while some areas experienced flooding and temporary power and connectivity disruptions.CAAP said it has lifted flight advisories, or Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), for Bicol International, Masbate, Naga, Virac, Daet, and Cauayan airports. Baguio Airport has also reopened, though Visual Flight Rules (VFR) remain suspended due to poor visibility from heavy rains.However, operations continue to be temporarily suspended at Bulan, Bacon, Sangley, Plaridel, Iba, and Subic airports.“Ensuring the safety of passengers and aviation personnel is our highest priority. We commend the prompt and dedicated response of our area center managers, airport managers and emergency teams in addressing the impacts of Typhoon Uwan,” said CAAP Director General Retired Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario.CAAP said it is working in line with directives from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Acting Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez to ensure the prompt repair of facilities, restoration of services, and continued safety of airport operations.The agency continues to monitor the situation and urged the public to follow official advisories for updates.
