Megaworld, Accor to rebrand biggest hotel in the Philippines to Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside

MANILA -- Property giant Megaworld is partnering with global hotel manager Accor to rebrand the biggest hotel in the Philippines to Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside.In a statement, Megaworld said its hospitality arm Megaworld Hotels &amp; Resorts partnered with Accor to convert the 1,530-room Grand Westside Hotel in Paranaque into Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside.This will also make it the biggest Mövenpick worldwide, Megaworld said. The partnership will cover proper brand alignment, systems integration, and operational enhancements. Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside is expected to open before the end of next year.Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside will have a sky bridge connecting it directly to the expansive Westside City integrated casino and entertainment complex. Megaworld said it will also be connected to the country’s first Grand Opera House and world-class performance venues that will make Manila the &quot;Broadway of Asia.&quot;“Our partnership with Megaworld represents an important step in strengthening Accor’s footprint in the Philippines, a market that continues to demonstrate strong momentum in both international and domestic travel,&quot; said Accor chief operating officer for premium, midscale, and economy division in Asia Garth Simmons.Andrew Langdon, Accor chief development officer for Asia, said the company&#x27;s partnership with Megaworld shows its confidence in the Philippines as a rapidly expanding market for &quot;high-quality, experience-driven hospitality.&quot;Earlier this year, Megaworld said it is <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2025/6/25/megaworld-partners-with-accor-to-improve-hotel-operations-1301" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">partnering</a> with Accor to boost its hotel portfolio. Belmont Hotel Mactan was the first Megaworld property to transition into Mercure Mactan Cebu.Accor is known for its hotel brands like Mercure, Sofitel, Fairmont, Raffles, Swissotel, <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/business/2024/2/27/hotel-manager-accor-to-bring-largest-pullman-property-to-cebu-1410" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Pullman</a>, and Mövenpick. At present, there are Mövenpick hotels in the Philippines in Boracay and Cebu.
