<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1744623380695Scoot Airlines1.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/>HandoutMANILA -- Iloilo International Airport has welcomed the first direct flight from Singapore to Iloilo.</div>In a statement, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said that the Scoot Airlines flight from Singapore to Iloilo arrived in the Philippines at 5:35 a.m.The flight was greeted with a water canon salute, and its 107 passengers were served refreshments.Meanwhile, the return trip from Manila to Singapore left at 6:10 a.m. with 103 passengers and a toddler.Scoot is the low-cost arm of Singapore Airlines. In January, it announced that it would be flying twice weekly to the Philippines starting April, and will be flying four times weekly from June.
