The LRT-1 Roosevelt Station in Quezon City reopens to the public on December 5, 2022, after completing its readiness tests, trial runs, maintenance works, and exercises to be integrated into the rail line's new signaling system. LRMC will be implementing a new train service schedule starting December 5, with last trip leaving the Baclaran Station at 10:00p.m., then 10:15p.m.from Roosevelt Station during weekdays. Weekend and holiday schedules will be at 9:30p.m. from Baclaran and 9:45p.m. from Roosevelt station.

MANILA — The LRT-1 resumed full operations at 5:38 p.m. on Wednesday, after a nearly 10-hour disruption caused by an electrical fault located between the Redemptorist-ASEAN and Baclaran Stations.“We are pleased to announce that LRMC has successfully completed all necessary repairs and comprehensive assessments,” said the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) in a statement.&quot;We extend our sincere gratitude for the understanding and patience of our valued passengers during this period. We are committed to providing reliable and excellent transportation services,” it added.The rail line earlier implemented limited operations, from just Fernando Poe Station station to Gil Puyat station and vice versa, due to the electrical issue which happened close to 9 in the morning.Tessa Cordero was onboard at the time when the train she was riding stopped in the middle of Redemptorist-ASEANA and the Baclaran stations. She and the other passengers were asked to go down and walk along the tracks to return to the platform.“Nakikita namin sa kabilang bagon, umuusok na. yung mga tao, nagwo-worry na sila, nagpa-panic. Parang mga 30 minutes yata kaming na-stuck doon, pinatay na din nila yung aircon. Kinakabahan talaga ako kanina pero sabi nga ng katabi ko, wag kang kabahan,” she shared to ABS-CBN News.At the EDSA station, commuters scrambled to look for an alternative ride going to school or to work. Several students expressed dismay over the incident, especially since the LRT-1 had just raised fares in April.“Nasaan na yung dagdag na pasahe? Saan napunta yun? Sana mapunta na lang sa rehabilitation kung kailangan i-rehabilitate yung LRT-1,” said Kim Federizo, who ran late to an exam because of the temporary system glitch.Meanwhile, Senator Grace Poe, chair of the Senate Committee on Public Services, said operators and relevant government agencies must ensure that the existing lines can operate safely.&quot;The simultaneous stoppage of train operations must not be overlooked,&quot; Poe said in a statement.<div><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZuUEitcsU1s?&amp;pp=ygUFbHJ0LTE%3D&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe> </div>
