ABS-CBN News/File</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Consumers and vendors at Kamuning Market in Quezon City are feeling the pinch as vegetable prices continue to climb, a result of the recent storms and monsoon rains that battered the country last week. </p><p>The inclement weather has severely impacted supply chains, leading to noticeable price hikes compared to just a week ago.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/7/28/over-6-million-filipinos-affected-by-habagat-tropical-cyclones-ndrrmc-1338">Over 6 million Filipinos affected by habagat, tropical cyclones – NDRRMC</a></div><p>Among the most affected vegetables, carrots have seen a significant jump, now ranging from P200 to P250 per kilo, up from P150 to P180.</p><p>Ampalaya is now selling for P200 per kilo, while sitaw is at P140 per kilo, or P60 per bundle.</p><p>Cabbage is priced at P90 per kilo, and eggplant at P170 per kilo.</p><p>Other essential ingredients have also seen increases. </p><p>Red onions are now between P150 to P160 per kilo, garlic between P140 to P160, and tomatoes are fluctuating from P70 to P90 per kilo.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/7/29/us-air-assets-in-ph-to-aid-relief-ops-in-typhoon-hit-areas-paf-confirms-1612">US air assets in PH to aid relief ops in typhoon-hit areas, PAF confirms</a></div><p>Even a staple like kangkong is now P20 per bundle.</p><p>Fe Salongdagit, a regular marketgoer, expressed her concern over the drastic changes.</p><p>&quot;Bumili rin kami.
