Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News/File</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Metrobank&#x27;s net income reached P24.8 billion in the first half of 2025, the bank said in a statement Friday.</p><p>This is higher than the <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/business/2024/8/1/metrobank-posts-record-net-income-in-first-half-of-2024-952" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">P23.6 billion</a> it saw in the same period last year.</p><p>The bank attributed its growth to healthy loan growth, recovering margins, robust
trading income, and improving cost efficiency.</p><p>Net interest margin climbed to P60 billion. Total loans jumped by 13.2 percent, as institutional loans expanded by 12.7 percent.
