Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News </div><div> </div>MANILA —  Grab wants to launch a carpooling system in the Philippines before the end of 2025, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said Wednesday. The agency said the feature would pick up multiple passengers from one area and drop them off at different destinations.The feature will also fetch passengers at different locations then drop them off at the same destination.Grab said it would offer the carpooling feature in key locations during peak hours.Grab used to have a carpooling service called GrabShare, which pools riders on similar routes into one vehicle. This was suspended in March 2020 as COVID-19 cases <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/business/03/12/20/grab-suspends-grabshare-service-as-covid-19-cases-rise" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">climbed</a>.DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon met Grab executives at the company&#x27;s headquarters in Singapore last week.&quot;This system from Grab will be one of the many ways we can carry more passengers and discourage the use of single passenger vehicles,” Dizon said.
