ABS-CBN News/File </span></span></span></div><p>MANILA<strong> (UPDATED) </strong>— Construction and infrastructure magnate Ramon Ang has volunteered to help solve the problem of flooding in Metro Manila at no cost to the government.</p><p>In a press conference on Friday, Ang said they have identified the problems causing floods in the National Capital Region.</p><p>“Ang main drainage Quezon City, Valenzuela, Navotas, Malabon, Obando, Tullahan river, isa lang yun… Wow, may bomba na nahanap - ano? tinakpan pala yung Tullahan River… Tinayuan, ginawang parang kalsada, tinayuan - ginawang parang housing ‘tas tinayuan ng eskuwela don sa paliko, paano dadaan yung tubig?” Ang said.</p><p>Ang said the solution to the problem of persistent flooding in Metro Manila is to remove obstructions to the flow of water in rivers.<br/>&quot;Kahit yung eskwela, gusto mo bibili na ako ng lupa, kapalit noon, magtatayo ako ng kapalit na eskwela. And yung housing bibili na rin ako lupa, para tayuan ang pabahay ang mga tao doon, para lang alisin natin yung mga pabahay at eskwela sa ibabaw ng ilog,&quot; he said.</p><p>“Ang solusyon ng Metro Manila flooding si bara ng ilog, at yung mga tinayong sit pile o tinayong kalsada, kailangan alisin, linisin - solve na ang baha ng buong Metro Manila, wala na kayong hanapbuhay non,” Ang added.</p><div><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=314&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FabscbnNEWS%2Fvideos%2F1515731986084768%2F&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=560&amp;t=0" width="560" height="429" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>He volunteers himself and his company to help solve this problem for free.</p><p>“Ako po, San Miguel, Ramon Ang, nagvo-volunteer ako ngayon. Ako nang tutulong sa buong Metro Manila [na] mag-solve ng baha at no cost to the people, at no cost to the government,” Ang explained.</p><p>“Bakit kayo nag-iisip ng kung ano-anong nuclear solution, samantalang puwede namang simple lang. Linisin lang natin yung ilog,” Ang added.</p><p>According to Ang, he just need a go signal or approval from different local government units to start dredging operation and clearing of waterways.</p><p>“Matagal na namin gingagawa itong pagtulong sa LGU. Ang kailangan lang namin ngayon is kung gusto mo, signing of agreement, kahit konting formality. Pero i-identify lang ng local mayors yung mga problema kung saan nagbabaha... saan nagbabaha at we will immediately go down. Walang arte-arte and fix the problem for them immediately,” Ang told reporters.</p><p>“We need the approval of the local government dahil kung hindi, hindi kami puwedeng payagan ng engineering groups nila.
