Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Part of the P928 billion budget proposal of the Department of Education for 2026 will be allocated to support students&#x27; mental health and children with special needs in the country.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/9/24/teachers-to-get-2023-performance-based-bonus-before-end-of-the-year-0738">Teachers to get 2023 performance-based bonus before end of the year</a></div><p>More than P100 million is allocated to support the mental health program, according to DepEd budget sponsor Representative Maricar Zamora-Mabanglo of Davao De Oro First District.</p><p>“Part of the wishlist of the department is an amount of P131 million for the Learners Support program in which mental health program is part.”</p><p>“We look forward to receiving a copy of the wishlist along with, I&#x27;m sure, marami pong mga fellow congressmen and women kami here na gustong suportahan ito further, ang pag-promote ng good mental health ng mga kabataan,” said Representative Renee Co of Kabataan Partylist.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/9/24/deped-says-proposed-2026-budget-to-prioritize-learners-health-safety-inclusive-learning-1917">DepEd says proposed P928-B budget in 2026 to prioritize learners&#x27; health, safety, inclusive learning</a></div><p>Rep.
