<p>MANILA -- SM Prime is spending more than P300 million to build a pedestrian walkway between the LRT-2 Antipolo station and SM City Masinag in Antipolo.</p><p>In a statement, SM Prime said the covered walkway will directly connect to SM Masinag.</p><p>Construction of the walkway will begin in the second quarter of 2026, and the walkway is expected to be operational 6 months after.</p><p>SM Prime also said it is building a busway concourse at SM Megamall, similar to the SM North EDSA Busway Concourse that opened in March last year.</p><p>Construction of this concourse is underway and is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2026.</p><p>“Urban mobility is central to national development,&quot; said SM Prime president Jeffrey Lim.</p><p>SM Prime earlier said it is opening <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/2/26/sm-to-open-4-new-malls-this-year-as-foot-traffic-hits-1-4-billion-in-2025-1413" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">4 new malls in 2026</a>, despite an <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/2/16/sm-eyes-launching-new-major-projects-in-2026-as-income-climbs-to-p48-8-billion-in-2025-1704" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">unexpected setback</a> in the 4th quarter of 2025.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/3/18/sm-to-open-newest-mall-in-zamboanga-city-1041" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">SM to open newest mall in Zamboanga City</a></div><p>The property giant is also opening a new convention venue in <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2025/11/27/sm-prime-to-open-new-convention-venue-in-cebu-1542" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cebu</a> by late 2026.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/2/24/cebu-s-office-space-market-only-2nd-to-bgc-in-growth-sm-prime-1213" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cebu’s office space market only 2nd to BGC in growth – SM Prime</a></div>
