MANILA -- Solaire Resort operator Bloomberry Resorts Corporation reported a P2.6 billion net loss for 2025, a reversal from the P2.6 billion net income it made the year before.In a statement, Bloomberry said it swung to a loss on the back of softer tourism and residual effects of a July 2024 ban on Philippine offshore gaming operations (<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/7/22/marcos-jr-orders-pogos-to-cease-operations-by-end-of-year-1603" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">POGOs</a>).Bloomberry said the ban on Philippine Offshore Gambling operators or POGOs weighed on revenues across its VIP
and premium mass market segments. The company said gross gaming revenue was at P59.8 billion--3 percent lower than the P61.7 billion it saw in 2024.Solaire Resort Entertainment City in Paranaque saw its VIP gross gaming revenue fall 54 percent to P7 billion, and its mass table gaming revenue slide to P16.5 billion.Solaire Resort North, however, saw VIP gaming revenue jump to P1.1 billion, while mass table gaming revenue soared by 111 percent to P7.7 billion.Bloomberry chairman Enrique Razon, however, noted that the company still outperformed the broader integrated resort market, supported by the continued ramp-up of Solaire Resort North and the
resilience of its domestic mass-market business.Bloomberry said it has introduced gaming and resort enhancements to both Solaire properties and is managing its expenses.&quot;In the online
segment, we remain confident in the long-term opportunity as we await greater regulatory clarity and
continue strengthening the competitiveness and user experience of our digital platforms,&quot; Razon said.Bloomberry has an online gambling platform called MegaFUNalo! Earlier this year, it partnered with Filipino development studio <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/1/26/enrique-razon-s-megafunalo-partners-with-gioco-to-add-filipino-themed-games-2247" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Gioco</a> to integrate Filipino-made games into the platform.
