<p>MANILA — AirAsia is letting passengers save 50 percent off their add-on fees by choosing to sit together.</p><p>In a statement, AirAsia said that in 1 booking, 2 passengers can choose to sit side-by-side by clicking Add-ons, selecting Pick-a-Seat, then choosing the Seat Together option.</p><p>The cost of the add-on will be slashed by half, AirAsia said.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1776830865125c298b305-2406-401e-8c08-ff5c26c32d3e.jpeg" style="width:633px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>The budget carrier also said it is slashing prices for checked-in baggage.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1776831156995image (10).jpeg" style="width:633px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>Plane fares meanwhile are set to get more expensive after the Civial Aviation Board raised the fuel surcharge for airlines.</p><p>Last month, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines confirmed that it has issued a <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/3/24/-caap-issues-airasia-collection-letter-1950" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">collection letter</a> to AirAsia Philippines regarding its outstanding account, as part of its regular business processes.</p>
