President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has instructed the DSWD and local government units to distribute cash aid to transport workers affected by soaring fuel prices triggered by the US-Israel-Iran conflict. <em>Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News </em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — The Department of Social Welfare continued its cash assistance distribution for TNVS drivers in Pasay City on Saturday, May 16. </p><p>Organized by ride-share app inDrive, the one-day payout aimed to release the P5,000 ayuda to all 11,000 partner drivers by 5 p.m.</p><p>As of 11 a.m., the transport network company said it had already completed 50 percent of the distribution.</p><p>“So, and we&#x27;re actually very positive na by 5 p.m. kung kailan matatapos yung payout, is to complete namin 100% of the drivers na naka-schedule for today,” said inDrive country manager Sofia Guinto.</p><div><br/></div><div style="text-align:center"><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=314&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F979574337890937%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=560&amp;t=0" width="560" height="314" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>Meanwhile, TNVS drivers welcomed what they described as a more organized system for distributing the assistance.</p><p>“Malaking bagay, masaya kahit papaano nabigyan. Hindi ko na i-expect na makakuha kasi mahirap pumila na wala kang kasiguraduhan kung may pangalan sa listahan. So bumabiyahe lang kami ngayon. Nag-notification lang si inDrive kagabi,” said Eric Delaguit.</p><p>Meanwhile, Jaime Cabahug encountered an issue after the birthday in the records did not match the one on his license. However, unlike in previous payouts where beneficiaries were turned away, he only needed to secure a certificate to claim the subsidy.</p><p>“Ano lang yung birthday ko, sa record nila, March 18. Sa lisensya ko, March 19. Kaya yun lang. Naintindihan naman namin tumataas talaga lahat ng presyo. Pero sa mga presyo ng katulad ng petrolyo, ng mga ibang bilihin, konting bawas lang naman po. Hindi naman po namin hinahangad na sobrang laki. Kahit papaano, maiwasan naman yung sunod-sunod na taas,” Delaguit added.</p><p>Meanwhile, inDrive said it continues to extend support to drivers through lower commission rates and fuel vouchers.</p><p>“Actually, during the height of the fuel crisis, we actually launched a 2.7 million fuel voucher program for our drivers to help soften the impact of the crisis.
