MANILA — Digital financial services platform Maya has launched &quot;Mini Payments,&quot; a new feature allowing cardholders to convert eligible credit card purchases into monthly installment plans directly within its app.The feature enables users to split eligible posted transactions into payment terms of 3, 6, 9, or 12 months after a purchase has already been made, Maya said. Unlike traditional point-of-sale installment programs tied to specific participating merchants, the new function operates independently of where the card was used, allowing consumers to establish repayment schedules post-checkout.Maya said its users can also consolidate multiple eligible transactions into a single monthly repayment plan via the app, which handles the selection, schedule reviews, and balance tracking.&quot;Mini Payments is about giving customers more flexibility and control in a way that feels simple and intuitive,&quot; said Shailesh Baidwan, Maya Group President and Maya Bank Co-Founder, adding that the technology aims to improve everyday financial management.The launch forms part of the digital bank&#x27;s wider strategy to upgrade its credit card services, which span onboarding, card delivery, and credit building. Maya’s current credit lineup includes the Maya Landers Cashback Everywhere Credit Card and the travel-centric Maya Black card, alongside Maya Black Express, a card aimed at users looking to build a credit history.The application-based feature is now live for eligible users on the Maya platform.
