MANILA -- Sy-led SM Investments led the list of Philippine companies on the <a href="https://www.forbes.com/lists/global2000/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">2026 Forbes Global 2000</a> list.The list ranks the largest public companies in the world based on sales, profits, assets, and market value.SM placed 1,029 on the list, with a market value of $11.83 billion and $30.07 billion in assets. Placing behind it is another Sy-led firm: BDO Unibank, which has $10.16 billion in market value and $94.07 billion in assets.At 1,170th is Top Frontier Investment Holdings, the majority shareholder of San Miguel Corporation. The company has a $316 million market value, and assets worth $48.87 billion.Razon-led International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) placed 1,375th, with $26.34 billion in market value and $9.62 billion in assets. Metrobank, the country&#x27;s second largest private universal bank, was at 1,383rd with $4.79 billion in market value and $61.97 billion in assets.Ayala Corporation was at 1,532nd, with $4.48 billion in market value and $31.94 billion in assets.Finally, Meralco was at 1,704th, with $11.51 billion in value and $13.66 billion in assets.SM Investments President Frederic DyBuncio welcomed the recognition for the company.&quot;This reflects the trust of our customers and investors, the work of our people, and the strength of the businesses we have built over the years,&quot; he said. &quot;We continue to invest in the Philippines because we believe in the country’s future and long-term growth.&quot;
