E-commerce platform Shopee launched its &quot;Shopee Live on Wheels&quot; mobile activation at Cebu IT Park on June 27, as part of a broader push to integrate physical experiential marketing with digital commerce for regional merchants.The roving truck activation allowed consumers to interact directly with local brands, participate in live-streamed sessions, and access event-specific discounts, the e-commerce giant said. Featured vendors included Cebu-based specialty café Tapiocas and Beans Co. and health brand Immuni+.The event highlights an accelerating digital shift among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Visayas and Mindanao (VisMin) regions. According to a recent Shopee report, The State of Digital MSMEs in VisMin, average orders per seller in these regions grew 51 percent between 2023 and 2025.Platform data indicates provincial businesses are increasingly utilizing interactive features—such as Shopee Live, Shopee Video, and artificial intelligence-driven chat assistants—to scale beyond their local markets and secure a nationwide customer base.The on-ground campaign aligns with Shopee’s &quot;Tatak Pinoy&quot; initiative, a program designed to boost the visibility of homegrown Filipino products.As digital commerce expands beyond the Philippines&#x27; primary metropolitan centers, platforms are increasingly deploying hybrid retail models to sustain merchant growth. The company’s data suggests that regional MSMEs are leveraging these omnichannel strategies not only to increase sales volume but also to deepen operational resilience in the broader digital economy.
