MANILA — The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday introduced a new acronym for Filipinos to remember this New Year's celebration, the last among the holiday festivities of the year.

"It follows the name of our secretary, his nickname is Ted (Teodoro "Ted" Herbosa)," DOH spokesperson Albert Domingo told ANC's Headstart.

T stands for "Tamang Pagkain."
"[It means eat] the right food, let's avoid the MA food, maalat, matamis, mataba... We can go ahead and taste, it's just a matter of proportion so we do not overdo it," he said.

Domingo said discipline is most important in the context of consuming alcohol during the festivities.

He said everyone should only have "one standard drink per hour," which translates to either 1 shot of hard liquor, 1 bottle of beer, or 1 glass of wine per hour.
