PCSO achieves 100% distribution of Patient Transport Vehicles nationwide

<p>MANILA — In line with the Marcos administration’s directive to strengthen universal access to emergency medical care, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has achieved a 100% distribution rate for Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) nationwide.</p><p>“Ito yung magpapalakas sa kanilang kapasidad para maghatid ng mga kababayan nating may sakit sa mas malaking ospital at mas equipped na ospital,” Melquiades A. Robles, general manager of PCSO, stressed.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/health-science/2025/8/19/-i-think-we-are-succeeding-marcos-says-zero-billing-in-doh-hospitals-proceeding-well-1320">&#x27;Ikalat natin&#x27;: Marcos says &#x27;zero billing&#x27; in DOH hospitals &#x27;proceeding well&#x27;</a></div><p>The agency completed the rollout after turning over the remaining units to the Metro Manila Council (MMC) on Tuesday, December 2.</p><p>“Ito po ay malaking tulong po sa amin bagamat kami po ay nasa Metro Manila malaking tulong po yan. Sapagkat, Yung health care services po talaga ay mahalaga sa ating mga tungkulin sa LGU’s,” said Francis Zamora, MMC President and San Juan City Mayor.</p><p>Each PTV is equipped with a stretcher, oxygen tank, wheelchair, first-aid kit, blood pressure monitor, and a medicine cabinet to ensure efficient and reliable patient transport to hospitals in cities and municipalities across the country.</p><p>According to the PCSO, more than 1,600 PTVs have now been distributed to all local government units nationwide.</p><p>Aside from the PTVs, several LGUs also received checks representing their lotto shares from the PCSO, allotted to municipalities and cities that host lottery operations.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/8/20/house-lawmaker-calls-for-higher-daily-capacity-for-pcso-medical-assistance-program-2055">House lawmaker calls for higher daily capacity for PCSO medical assistance program</a></div>
