MANILA — The Department of Health and the Department of Social Welfare and Development launched on Wednesday the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project Information System (PMNP-IS) — a digital platform aimed at strengthening the delivery and monitoring of nutrition and social protection services in municipalities covered by the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project.Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa said the launch marks a major step toward digital transformation in health and nutrition services, as the PMNP-IS integrates nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive data from DOH, DSWD, and other government agencies through a unified digital system.<div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/life/10/22/22/digital-health-app-makes-doctors-available-247">Digital health app makes doctors available 24/7</a></div>&quot;Nagsama ang DSWD at DOH. Can you imagine that?&quot; he added.The platform introduces a suite of digital tools designed to streamline operations, such as the Household Convergence Scorecard Data Collection Mobile Application, a web-based Management Information System, and a Data Visualization Dashboard, to improve health and nutrition services during the first 1,000 days of a newborn. <div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/health-science/2025/4/4/can-ai-help-solve-ph-s-tuberculosis-problem-1507">Can AI help solve PH&#x27;s tuberculosis problem?</a></div>These tools aim to enhance service delivery, particularly for maternal and child health and nutrition programs.Following its pilot phase, the PMNP-IS is now ready for full-scale rollout across 235 LGUs nationwide.Select local government units in the Quezon Province, Romblon, Northern Samar, Davao Occidental, and Sarangani have tested the platform, with feedback informing further enhancements to usability and functionality.Once refined, the PMNP-IS will be rolled out nationwide and integrated into the daily operations of participating LGUs and project partners.The system is expected to not only improve the quality and reach of nutrition and health services in PMNP sites but also serve as a model for future digital initiatives in public health and social welfare.
