PhilHealth advise their members and their qualified dependents to present a copy of their PhilHealth identification card, member data record, or other supporting documents to access health benefits amid the temporary shutdown of its online system.<em>Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News </em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Members of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) may now avail free medicines worth a maximum of P20,000 annually, as the state insurance provider launches the enhanced Guaranteed and Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment (PhilHealth GAMOT).</p><p>The program covers 75 types of medicines for a wide range of conditions such as infections, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and heart conditions and nervous system disorders, along with other supportive therapies.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/health-science/2025/7/28/liver-cancer-to-double-worldwide-most-of-it-preventable-study-0712">Liver cancer to double worldwide, most of it preventable: study</a></div><p>To avail the free medicines, members must be registered in the PhilHealth YAKAP clinic of choice.</p><p>A doctor will conduct medical assessment and issue a prescription containing a unique prescription security code (UPSC), as necessary.</p><p>The beneficiary then may proceed to any GAMOT facility with the prescription and a valid government-issued ID card.</p><p>The GAMOT facilities are currently located in the following: </p><div><br/></div><p>• Vidacure with branches in Muntinlupa City and Quezon City  </p><p>• Pharma Gen Ventures Corp (Generika Drugstore) with branches in Parafiaque City, Navotas City, Quezon City and Taguig City  </p><p>• CGD Medical Depot Inc. at Vertis North  </p><p>• Chinese General Hospital</p><div><br/></div><p>PhilHealth said two other facilities have expressed intent to join the program.</p><p>PhilHealth GAMOT is part of PhilHealth’s improved <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/health-science/2025/7/25/filipinos-to-enjoy-more-philhealth-services-after-primary-care-benefit-revitalized-1411">YAKAP Program</a>, “a comprehensive outpatient drug benefit package that covers essential medicines.”</p><p>The program, originally named Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama (Konsulta), was designed to provide Filipinos access to essential primary care services.</p><p>The rebranding also comes along inclusion of new health services to the package such as medicines, check-ups and laboratory tests and screening for different types of cancers.</p><p>PhilHealth President Dr. Edwin Mercado last month said the state insurer is making a major shift to primary care and early detection to make healthcare more accessible and affordable.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2025/7/16/philhealth-pivots-to-preventive-care-to-cut-costs-keep-filipinos-healthy-under-new-reforms-2109">PhilHealth pivots to preventive care to cut costs, keep Filipinos healthy under new reforms</a></div><div> </div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO</strong></div><div><br/></div><div style="text-align:center"><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7PcRriT6X3I?si=AXxSNK_O4eIpk0fl" title="YouTube video player" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe><br/></div>
