ABS-CBN News</span></span></span></div><div style="text-align:left"><br/></div><p>MANILA — The camp of jailed televangelist Apollo Quiboloy on Thursday said alias Amanda, the sole complainant in the cases against the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder, “should be prepared” to present evidence against him.</p><p>“They should be prepared because this is the time for them to prove that the evidence of guilt is strong, and that is their responsibility under the law,&quot; Quiboloy’s lawyer Israelito Torreon said.  </p><p>“We are likewise prepared also to put up our cross examination in order to ferret out the truth that the evidence of guilt is not strong,” he told ABS-CBN News in a telephone interview. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/9/13/-amanda-urges-other-alleged-victims-of-quiboloy-to-come-out-2003">&#x27;Amanda&#x27; urges other alleged victims of Quiboloy to come out</a></div><p>Amanda accused Quiboloy of committing abuses when she was a minor. Quiboloy’s camp denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty to the charges.</p><p>The televangelist is seeking bail on charges related to qualified human trafficking, arguing that the evidence of guilt against him is weak. </p><p>“Our position is that, just like any accused, we have to prove that the evidence of guilt is not strong because if we will be able to prove that, then the accused will be allowed to post bail,” Torreon said.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/1/13/quiboloy-seeks-bail-for-qualified-human-trafficking-1937">Quiboloy seeks bail for qualified human trafficking</a></div><p>Meanwhile, Torreon said he dropped plans to file a motion requesting that Quiboloy be exempted from attending the hearings, at the pastor&#x27;s own request.</p><p>“Gusto kasi ni pastor mag-attend talaga so hindi ko na lang i-file. And I’m hoping na okay lang din siya,” Torreon said.</p><p>(The pastor really wants to attend, so I decided not to file it.
