<div><br/></div><p>MANILA — The Philippine National Police Civil Security Group (PNP-CSG) said Tuesday it would summon the sampaguita vendor who was seen in a viral social media video as she was forcibly removed from a mall by a security guard.</p><p>The summons will be part of the preliminary evaluation on whether there is probable cause to file an administrative complaint against the security guard, PNP-CSG spokesperson Lt. Col. Eudisan Gultiano said.</p><p>She said the evaluator handling the case would send a notice to the sampaguita vendor, inviting her to appear before the Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies (SOSIA) to give her side of the story. </p><p>&quot;Tinitingnan po natin dito ay kung nagampanan ng security guard nang maayos at tama ang kanyang duty sa pagtupad ng kanyang tungkulin bilang isang security guard,&quot; Gultiano said.</p><p>(What we are looking at here is whether the security guard properly and correctly performed his duty in carrying out his responsibilities.)</p><div><strong></strong></div><p>The security guard and representatives of his agency <a href="http://Security guard in viral &#x27;Sampaguita girl&#x27; video meets with PNP Civil Security Group">attended a “clarificatory meeting”</a> with the PNP on Monday. He pledged to submit an affidavit on or before Thursday, within the prescribed three-day timeline.</p><p>If the vendor does not appear before the police, the preliminary evaluation will proceed based on the security guard’s account, seven days after the submission of his affidavit.</p><p>Gultiano added that the security guard could be liable for violating Republic Act No. 11917 or the Private Security Services Industry Act.
