MANILA -- The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) remained crowded on Sunday as thousands of travelers returned home after the holidays.

Among the passengers was Judy Ann Canino's family, who celebrated Christmas and New Year in Bulacan. They are now heading back to Camarines Sur after visiting relatives in nearby provinces. Canino anticipated heavy traffic during their journey.

"Pakiramdam ko sobrang siksikan kasi sobrang traffic ngayon kasi nga uwian na..enjoy naman kasama yung mga relatives, mga lola, tita," Canino said.

Meanwhile, Ronami Matienzo arrived at PITX early to avoid traffic, even though her bus to Camarines Sur was scheduled for 7:30 PM.

"Bale sanay na rin po lagi po pag bumabyahe ng uwian..mas kaunti nga ngayon kumpara nung nakaraang taon," she said.

As of 3:00 PM, PITX recorded a foot traffic of 94,498 passengers. The terminal is expecting the number to reach 200,000 by the end of the day.

Despite the high volume of passengers, there have been no reported delays or untoward incidents at the terminal.
