Preparations at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila were ongoing on Monday morning, January 6, 2025, a day before the traditional &#x27;Pahalik&#x27; of the image of Jesus Nazareno.Personnel from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and the Manila government were seen making sure that the vicinity of the venue was clean and ready for devotees. The stage is now up with lights and sounds set up. The red and yellow-themed backdrop adorned with yards of fabric and tarpaulins has also been placed right at the very center of the stage.Media outlets have started to assemble their equipment at their designated areas. MMDA tents, where devotees will form their lines, have also been assembled.A Mass for volunteers will begin at 6 p.m. <div> </div><div>SECURITY</div><div> </div>Some 12,000 policemen will secure the Traslacion, a grand procession attended by millions of Nazareno devotees on January 9, the Philippine National Police said.These include personnel from the Highway Patrol Group, Anti-Cybercrime Group and Intelligence Group, PNP spokesperson BGen. Jean Fajardo said. “Ang 12,168 [policemen] ay fluid po ‘yan. Pwede madagdagan depende sa makikita natin doon sa magpaparticipate sa Traslacion,” she told reporters at Camp Crame, Quezon City on Monday.“With respect sa HPG [Highway Patrol Group], sila ay specifically gagamitin sa pagmanage at control ng traffic, particularly sa engagement areas. As everyone knows, nasa around 5.8 kilometers from the Quirino Grandstand papunta sa Quiapo… History will tell us na mahirap talaga ang daloy ng trapiko.
