Jervis Manahan, ABS-CBN News"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Filipino fishermen from Quezon, Palawan who fish in Escoda Shoal. <em>Jervis Manahan, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA -- Filipino fishermen from Quezon, Palawan recounted harassment incidents from Chinese Coast Guard vessels whenever they try to get near Escoda (Sabina) Shoal.</p><p>ABS-CBN News got to talk to some fishermen when the fleet of BFAR ships proceeded to Escoda Shoal after being harassed by China near Pag-asa Island.</p><p>Similar to the situation in Scarborough Shoal, fishermen can now only fish around 20-30 nautical miles from Escoda, as Chinese Coast Guard vessels drive them away.</p><p>&quot;Sariling teritoryo natin, para tayong magnanakaw ng isda dito. Tayo dapat makinabang dito, sila nakikinabang,&quot; said Jobert Bodigon, a fisherman.</p><p>(This is our territory, but it feels like we are stealing fish from our own waters. Kapag di pa rin kami umaalis, magbababa sila ng speedboat, yuyugyugin bangka kapag malaki na alon kaya ginagawa namin, kami na umiiwas,&quot; said Jaypee Barbadia, another fisherman.</p><p>(They are blocking our floating devices, they use their big ships. If we don&#x27;t leave, they will deploy speedboats, they will rock the waters to create big waves until we leave.
