<p>MANILA — A person died and three others were injured when a UV Express rammed into several vehicles along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City on Friday.</p><p>According to Quezon City Police District Traffic Sector 5, the UV Express AUV hit at least 13 motorcycles and cars.</p><p>Police Lt.Col. Geoffrey Lim, chief of the QCPD District Traffic Enforcement Unit, said initial investigation showed that the UV Express came from Elliptical Road and entered Commonwealth Avenue, where it hit a car but kept going.</p><p>&quot;Merong nagmagandang loob na isang truck na nakakita sa pangyayari,&quot; Lim said. &quot;Triny na igilid siya para di na makadiretso.&quot;</p><p>(A truck driver saw the collision and tried to maneuver his truck to keep the UV Express vehicle from driving off)</p><p>Instead of stopping, the driver of the UV Express reversed, hitting another sedan before trying to speed away.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/6/18/3-injured-in-road-crash-on-c5-mckinley-in-taguig-2355"><strong>3 injured in road crash on C5 McKinley in Taguig</strong></a></div><p>Lim added that the UV Express sped on Commonwealth Avenue, hitting several motorcycles parked motorcycles near the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) office and injuring a rider.</p><p>Instead of stopping, the driver continued to speed toward Loyola Heights and hit two more motorcycles.</p><p>He then made a U-turn and went back in the direction of CHR area, running over more motorcycles parked along the roadside.</p><p>He hit another motorcycle before fleeing toward Tandang Sora Avenue. </p><p>&quot;Tatlong beses po siyang nagpaikot-ikot sa Commonwealth kaya ganun na lang karami ang kaniyang tinamaan,&quot; he said, adding one of those injured was in critical condition.</p><p>(He went around Commonwealth three times, that&#x27;s why he hit so many vehicles)</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/6/18/3-patay-5-sugatan-sa-road-crash-sa-cavite-1230"><strong>&#x27;Nag-inom tapos nag-road trip&#x27;: 3 patay, 5 sugatan sa road crash sa Cavite</strong></a></div><p>Lim said the suspect claimed to have blacked out and could not remember the events.
