<div><strong><em>Trigger warning: Mention of sexual exploitation, child abuse</em></strong></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA — The National Bureau of Investigation – Human Trafficking Division (NBI-HTRAD) said it rescued five victims, including four minors aged 10 to 15, from online sexual exploitation in Caloocan City and Rodriguez, Rizal last week. </p><p>The operation stemmed from a referral by the Dutch National Police, which identified a suspect involved in producing and distributing Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM).</p><p>Through surveillance and open-source intelligence, NBI agents confirmed the suspect’s residence in Caloocan City as the site of CSAEM production. A search warrant was then obtained, leading to the arrest of a female suspect,  who is said to be the “facilitator”. Authorities also seized several electronic devices containing explicit materials.</p><p>“Pagkatapos naming makakuha ng cyber warrant, agad naming ipinatupad ito kasama ang mga kinatawan mula sa DSWD at mga NGO. Pagdating namin sa lugar, inaresto agad namin ang suspek, na nahulihan ng child sexual abuse at exploitation materials.</p><p>Pagkatapos noon, nagsagawa kami ng sabay-sabay na rescue operation — tatlo sa Caloocan at isa sa Rodriguez, Rizal.</p><p>&quot;Sa kabuuan, lima ang nailigtas naming biktima,” said NBI Human Trafficking Division chief Atty Rosalie Laguardia.</p><p>Simultaneous rescue operations were conducted—three in Caloocan and one in Rodriguez, Rizal—in coordination with local social welfare offices and non-governmental organizations. The operation was observed by the Dutch National Police and supported by IACAT and NBI Digital Forensics Laboratory.</p><p>Based on the NBI investigation, the children have been doing this for years, with the knowledge of their parents in some cases. </p><p>“Depende ang bayad sa kung ano ang ipinagagawa sa bata, minsan ₱200, minsan ₱500.  Pero kapag may aktuwal na pagkikita kasama ang dayuhang customer, umaabot ito ng hanggang ₱5,000.  Batay sa aming imbestigasyon, ang ilang mga magulang ay alam ang ginagawa ng mga anak nila.
