<p>MANILA — Bulacan Sixth District Rep. Salvador Pleyto on Friday rejected allegations that he received “remittances” from government contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya prior to being elected to the House of Representatives. </p><p>Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla on Thursday cited an Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) report that named Pleyto among individuals who allegedly received funds from the Discayas. Pleyto was reportedly the president of S.A. Pleyto Construction Corp. </p><p>“I strongly condemn these accusations and insinuations against me,” Pleyto said in a statement.</p><p>Pleyto said he was &quot;ready to cooperate with the AMLC or any other competent authorities to ensure that the truth will come out so that I can clear my name.&quot; </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2025/10/24/customs-to-livestream-auction-of-discaya-vehicles-0801">Customs to livestream auction of Discaya vehicles</a></div><p>The lawmaker urged the public to refrain from “drawing conclusions or spreading unverified information that may cause undue harm to my personal reputation, both as a private person and a public servant.”</p><p>Aside from Pleyto, Remulla also tagged Benguet Rep. Eric Yap and ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Edvic Yap as persons of interest in the probe into flood control anomalies.</p><p>Remulla said Eric Yap had beneficial ownership of the construction company Silverwolves Construction Corporation, which bagged P89.7 million worth of projects in La Union later found to be substandard.</p><p>The Ombudsman said it was also investigating Davao Occidental Rep.
