She hopes the conference can further expand the reach of the WPS agenda to far-flung areas.</p><p>“We want to bring it to the people and local government units. I always say this, kung nasa national lang lagi ang polisiya at lahat ng ginagawa, kulang. We need that to trickle down to the local government units,” said Pangandaman.</p><p>She added: “Mas madali ang trabaho kung ang babae ay represented sa table. We want to push for that.”</p><p>The conference, from October 28-30, 2025, will tackle various topics in advancing women’s participation, representation, and leadership in peace and security.
