MANILA – Eight ranking police officials have been reassigned, while two others were placed to the holding unit in the latest reorganization of the Philippine National Police (PNP).In a special order effective November 14, PNP Acting Chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. designated Brig. Gen. Wilson Asueta of the Information and Communications Technology Management as Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, replacing Brig. Gen. Gen. Edwin Quilates was reassigned as Acting Director of PRO 9.Brig. Gen. Elmer Ragay, Director of the Office of the Chief PNP’s Peace Process and Development Center (PPDC), was moved to serve as Acting Director of the DEG.Brig. Gen. Salvador Alacyang, Deputy Director for Administration of PRO 8 (Eastern Visayas), was reassigned as Acting Director of the Explosives Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit (EOD K9).Col. Froilan Navaroza, Deputy Director of the Public Information Office, was designated as PRO 8 Deputy Director for Administration.Col. Thor Valiente Cuyos, Director of the Metro Davao Police District, was transferred to the Office of the Chief PNP as Officer-in-Charge of the PPDC.Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Zamora Rosete, former Director of the Human Rights Affairs Office and currently assigned to the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (PHAU), was appointed Director of PRO 11 (Davao Region).The new PNP orders moved PRO 11 Director Brig. Gen. Joseph Arguelles and EOD K9 Director Col. Assignment to the unit means that a police officer does not hold an operational post but remains under its administrative control until reassignment.There was no immediate explanation from PNP leadership on why Arguelles and Abella were moved to the PHAU.
