PNP on full alert ahead of 3-day rally

<p>MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has placed its entire force on full alert as Metro Manila prepares for the three-day peaceful assemblies beginning November 16, Sunday.</p><p>According to the PNP, the full alert took effect at 5:00 p.m. on November 14, mobilizing police personnel nationwide to ensure maximum readiness.</p><p>Initial deployments begins today, Saturday, with full forces positioned on the ground by the start of the assemblies.</p><p>Police units have been strategically assigned throughout Metro Manila, while regional offices across the country have been directed to intensify security operations in their respective areas.</p><p>The PNP said these measures aim to maintain peace and safety amid the anticipated influx of participants, commuters, and residents.</p><p>In a statement, Acting PNP chief Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said a comprehensive security plan is already in motion.</p><p>“With the expected influx of people, we have activated a comprehensive security plan that covers ground operations, traffic management, intelligence monitoring, emergency response, and maritime patrols.
