<p>MANILA — The Supreme Court has included courts in Quezon City and Makati City in its work-from-home arrangement until the conclusion of the Iglesia ni Cristo rally against corruption on November 18, 2025.</p><p>In an announcement over X, the Supreme Court however said all Regional Trial Courts and Metropolitan Trial Courts in Quezon City and Makati City are required to maintain a skeleton workforce for urgent matters.</p><p>“Court operations in some areas are suspended on November 17 and 18, 2025, in view of the expected traffic congestion within the vicinity of the courts and surrounding areas which may be brought about by the staging of the three-day rally of the Iglesia Ni Cristo,” the SC said.</p><p>The high court posted memoranda from the Executive Judges of Quezon City and Makati City after Court Administrator Maria Theresa Gomez-Estoesta granted the work-from-home arrangement, considering that court employees will be coming from Manila and other affected areas.</p><p>“Please be instructed, however, that despite said arrangement, Virtual Court Hearings shall still proceed so as not to cancel scheduled court hearings, and that prior notification must be given to the concerned lawyers and litigants,” said Makati City RTC Executive Judge Gina Bibat-Palamos.</p><p>The SC has initially ordered the work-from-home arrangement in Manila.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/11/16/supreme-court-suspends-work-in-some-courts-due-to-inc-rally-1652">Supreme Court suspends work in some courts due to INC rally</a></div><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div><br/></div><div style="text-align:center"><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Hj4Koh85pxY?si=H7Bfg9zov60xU4t6" title="YouTube video player" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>
