Ako Bicol party-list/File </div>MANILA — The Office of the Ombudsman said Wednesday it was seeking the cancellation of former lawmaker Zaldy Co’s passport and an Interpol red notice that could lead to his return to the Philippines. The Ombudsman on Tuesday<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/11/19/sandiganbayan-raffles-off-first-flood-control-corruption-cases-1150"> filed graft and malversation cases</a> against Co, public works officials and members of a construction firm over their ties to a &quot;grossly&quot; substandard road dike in Oriental Mindoro province.Once an arrest warrant is issued against Co, this could be used as a basis for his passport cancellation and the Interpol red notice, Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano said.“On the basis of that warrant, marami po tayong remedies. Pwede po tayong humingi sa korte na ikansela po ang passport ni Zaldy Co… ‘Pag na-cancel na po ‘yan, mas ma-limit na po ang kanyang galaw. Hindi na po siya makakabiyahe from one country to another,” Clavano told DZMM.“On top of that pwede rin po tayong humingi ng Interpol red notice, kung saan pwede nang actively hanapin si Ginoong Zaldy Co kung saan man siya.
