Karen de Guzman, ABS-CBN News</span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA <strong>(UPDATED)</strong> — Authorities on Friday searched a hotel in Pasay but failed to serve the arrest warrant for executives of Sunwest Corp., a construction firm linked to former lawmaker Zaldy Co and an allegedly anomalous flood control project in Oriental Mindoro.</p><p>Three members of the Sunwest Board of Directors — Consuelo Aldon, Anthony Ngo, and Noel Cao — were believed to be hiding in the hotel and possibly posing as employees, the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said.</p><p>&quot;Subsidiary owner ‘yung Sunwest dito sa Midas Hotel,&quot; said Police Col. We will exert effort to locate them,” Guiagui said. </p><p>He said it would be better for the three executives to turn themselves in.</p><p>“Kasi kung sa maghanapan tayo, hindi natin alam anong mangyayari.“</p><p>(Because if we have to conduct these searches, we don&#x27;t know what can happen)</p><p>Guiagui added that the registered firearms under Ngo’s name had already been cancelled, urging him to surrender the weapon.</p><p>Sixteen individuals — including Co, public works officials, and executives of Sunwest — are facing charges for falsification of documents, misuse of public funds and graft law violations over their ties to a &quot;grossly&quot; substandard road dike in Oriental Mindoro province.</p><p>Police earlier arrested nine accused, while Co remains in hiding abroad. </p>
