<p>MANILA — Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) Chairperson Andres Reyes Jr. on Thursday called on Filipinos to show love and compassion for their fellow countrymen, as he slammed the “greed” and “selfishness” that fueled the corruption in public works projects.</p><p>During a press conference on the ICI’s ongoing probe into flood control anomalies, Reyes held up a placard, saying “What the world needs now is love, not greed, not selfishness.”</p><p>“We need to love our country, we need to love our countrymen. You know, we need to love one another. Pag may extrang pera kayo, tulungan ang mahirap. Kung may time kayo, tulungan ang gobyerno,” Reyes said.</p><p>“Kailangan pag-ibig e, hindi yung swapang ka.
