<p>MANILA — Local governments across Metro Manila have begun early preparations ahead of the anticipated landfall of Typhoon Uwan, setting up evacuation centers, preparing rescue teams, and alerting residents in flood-prone areas as the storm continues to intensify over the Philippine Sea.</p><p>In Parañaque City, Barangay Moonwalk has set up more than 50 modular tents at its sports center as an early evacuation site that can accommodate around 1,500 residents.</p><p>Barangay officials say the preparations began as early as Friday, with rescue equipment already on standby.</p><p>&quot;May mga ilang eskwelahan po na kaagapay po namin.
