<div><iframe width="1295" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/R1odgyJF-7I" title="Manibela tinapos na ang 3-araw tigil pasada | DZMM TeleRadyo" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>MANILA — Transport group Manibela on Thursday morning temporarily ended its <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/9/17/manibela-kicks-off-3-day-transport-strike-over-corruption-unmet-gov-t-promises-0926">three-day nationwide strike</a> after what it described as a productive dialogue with transport regulators. </p><p>According to Manibela, around 20,000 jeepney drivers joined the strike that began earlier this week.</p><p>As early as dawn on Thursday, several jeepney drivers at Manibela’s Nagtahan headquarters in Manila were already back on the road—even without instructions from the group—taking in passengers who had no other way to travel.</p><p>Drivers there said they felt compelled to assist commuters who had been stranded for days, even if they initially intended to continue the strike.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/12/9/manila-residents-struggle-to-commute-amid-nationwide-jeepney-strike-0828">Manila residents struggle to commute amid nationwide jeepney strike</a></div><p>The group said it decided to suspend its protest action after the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Land Transportation Office (LTO), and Department of Transportation (DOTr) laid out a set of commitments during meetings held throughout the three-day stoppage.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/12/10/on-strike-s-2nd-day-ltfrb-assures-manibela-it-is-working-on-issues-raised-1347">On strike’s 2nd day, LTFRB assures Manibela it is working on issues raised</a></div><p>In its statement, Manibela said its strike succeeded in gaining “attention and promised action” from government agencies.</p><p>The group noted that officials vowed to release pending jeepneys, license plates, and drivers’ licenses of affected operators.</p><p>Manibela added that authorities also committed to issue a memorandum circular extending the Provisional Authority of operators and allowing continued vehicle registration with the LTO.</p><p>The group said transport officials agreed to “investigate and hold accountable LTO and LTFRB personnel involved in payola,” citing the alleged sale of Provisional Authority documents to TNVS applicants.</p><p>“Dahil sa pakikiusap ng LTO, LTFRB, at Acting Secretary Giovanni Lopez, pansamantala naming tinapos ang transport strike,” Manibela said.</p><p>Manibela chairperson Mar Valbuena thanked those who supported the strike.</p><p>“Nagpapasalamat kami sa lahat ng lumahok, nakiisa at sumuporta sa aming paglaban,” he said, adding that the group welcomed what it described as the direct attention of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to their concerns.</p><p>The group, however, said it would continue monitoring the implementation of the commitments made by the agencies.</p><p>It also reiterated its stance against alleged corruption within transport offices, saying its fight was meant to protect the livelihood of drivers and the riding public.</p><p>“Sa hanay ng matatapang na Manibela, patuloy tayong lumalaban laban sa kurapsyon at katiwalian,” the group said in its statement.</p><div><br style="caret-color:rgb(0, 0, 0);color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"/></div>
