Sherwin Gatchalian said Friday. </p><p>Lawmakers from both chambers of Congress reconcile their versions of the national budget in the bicam meeting.</p><p>Gatchalian, who chairs the Senate Finance Committee, hopes that Dela Rosa can still attend the bicam meeting despite his absence from the Senate for weeks.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/12/12/dilg-confirms-tracking-dela-rosa-amid-reports-of-possible-icc-warrant-1305">DILG tracking Dela Rosa amid reports of possible ICC warrant</a></div><p>&quot;Si Senator Jinggoy hindi na papalitan so as is na kami ngayon,&quot; Gatchalian added. </p><p>Estrada — who has been hounded by allegations of corruption in connection with the flood control scandal — <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/12/10/jinggoy-estrada-withdraws-from-budget-bicam-1248">withdrew from the budget bicam</a> as soon as he was nominated. </p><p>Dela Rosa has been out of public eye since reports that a warrant for his arrest has been issued by the International Criminal Court. </p><p>Gatchalian explained that the two were nominated to the panel because they are vice chairpersons of the Senate Finance Committee. </p><p>&quot;So, automatic na si Senator Bato, magiging conferee dahil vice-chair pa siya. Hindi naman siya nag-resign bilang vice-chair. At wala rin to be honest, hindi kami nag-uusap. So, wala naman siya rin any feedback kung ayaw niya maging conferee,&quot; he said. </p><p>&quot;So, nagpadala siya ng message na ako na lang magde-defend. So, unless mag-resign siya, then ang rule ng committee is kung vice-chair ka, automatic kang conferee.
