Siya ay isang mangangaral ng dangal, katalinuhan, at tunay na kalayaan,” Zamora said.</p><p>He added that Jacinto’s ideals continue to resonate with Filipinos today. </p><p>“Ang aral ni Jacinto ay nananatiling buhay: na ang pagmamahal sa bayan ay hindi sinasabi lamang. Ito ay isinasabuhay,” he said.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>&#x27;BRAINS OF THE KATIPUNAN&#x27;</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Jacinto was the chief adviser and strategist of the Katipunan and played a key role in drafting the group’s laws, regulations, and propaganda materials.</p><p>He is the author of the Kartilya ng Katipunan, a short guide that outlined the moral and ethical principles expected of members of the revolutionary society.</p><p>In a separate statement, the NHCP said it is marking Jacinto’s 150th birth anniversary with activities in various parts of the country.</p><p>The NHCP said wreaths will be offered at Jacinto’s tomb at Himlayang Pilipino in Quezon City by officials and guests, including Sen. Loren Legarda, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, and National Artist Virgilio Almario.</p><p>The program will also feature a reading of Jacinto’s Kartilya ng Katipunan by a student and an excerpt from the Tanghalang Pilipino musical “Pingkian: Isang Musikal.”</p><p>Wreath-laying activities are also being held at Jacinto’s monuments in the Bonifacio Shrine in Manila, the Pinaglabanan Memorial Shrine in San Juan City, the Battle of Maimpis Site and town plaza in Magdalena, Laguna, and his first burial place in Santa Cruz, Laguna, according to NHCP.</p><p>The agency described Jacinto as “a leading intellectual and military leader during the Philippine Revolution” and noted that he has been widely recognized as the “Brains of the Katipunan” for his contributions to the movement’s intellectual and political foundations.</p><p>The commemoration forms part of the 2025 Year of the Youth in Philippine History, anchored on the sesquicentennial of Jacinto and other young revolutionaries who fought for the country’s independence from Spanish colonial rule.</p>
