Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Vice President Sara Duterte on Thursday neither confirmed nor denied reports that she allegedly visited former lawmaker Arnolfo Teves Jr. while he was in detention.</p><p>Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla earlier said that Duterte went to Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City to visit Teves, and not his alleged bagman, Ramil Madriaga.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/12/23/sara-duterte-visited-teves-not-alleged-bagman-madriaga-remulla-1416">Sara Duterte visited Teves, not alleged bagman Madriaga – Remulla</a></div><p>“Ang sinasabi ko, wala akong iko-confirm at ide-deny. Kung gusto nila, sila ang magsalita,” Duterte said in an interview with media in Davao City.</p><p>“Basta ang sinasabi ko, hindi ko kilala si Ramil Madriaga. Bahala sila kung anong gusto nilang sabihin,” she added. </p><p>Remulla previously said there were records from the warden who was present during the meeting, adding that nothing significant was discussed aside from an exchange of greetings.</p><p>Duterte on Monday denied having any personal relationship with Madriaga or giving him any instruction. </p><p>The Vice President said the photographs he submitted were “unrelated images taken during public events where I was present.” </p><p>“These images do not support his allegations and merely show that he was present as part of an election campaign group,” Duterte said in a statement. </p><p>“Mr. Madriaga has offered no proof — no documents, no corroboration — only accusations.
