Bong Revilla, Zaldy Co named as additional respondents in flood control complaints

<div><br/></div><p>MANILA — Former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla and former Ako Bicol Partylist representive Zaldy Co have been admitted as additional respondents in the flood control complaints before the Department of Justice, according to Prosecutor General Richard Fadullon. </p><p>The cases are among the five anomalous flood control projects in Bulacan being handled by the DOJ after they were deputized by the Office of the Ombudsman to conduct preliminary investigation.</p><p>Fadullon said three of the five cases were already submitted for resolution but the two will be “slightly delayed” due to the additional respondents. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/12/3/ici-recommends-charges-vs-revilla-other-officials-tagged-in-flood-control-mess-1621">&#x27;Ang hustisya ay istrikto&#x27;: ICI recommends charges vs Revilla, other officials tagged in flood control mess</a></div><p>“Eventually there were pieces of evidence submitted by the National Bureau of Investigation and this time it included proponents so we have to give them opportunity also to be able to file their respective counter affidavits with respect their complaint,” he said in a briefing Friday.</p><p>Revilla and Co have asked for extension to file their counter-affidavit. </p><p>They were given five days to submit, according to DOJ spokesperson Polo Martinez. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/12/3/nbi-says-documents-found-in-zaldy-co-s-condo-units-as-search-enters-second-day-1229" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">NBI says documents found in Zaldy Co&#x27;s condo units as search enters second day</a></div><p>Fadullon is hopeful that the remaining cases will be submitted for resolution by December 15.</p><p>After the submission of the counter-affidavits of the other respondents, the complaints are deemed submitted for resolution.</p>
