Photo courtesy of the Bureau of Corrections" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Former Bamban Mayor Alice Guo at the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City, December 6, 2025. <em>Photo courtesy of the Bureau of Corrections</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Former Bamban Mayor Alice Leal Guo and co-accused Jaimielyn Santos Cruz and Rachelle Joan Malonzo Carreon have entered a mandatory five-day quarantine at the Reception and Diagnostic Center (RDC) of the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City.</p><p>The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) confirmed that the three individuals were transferred late Friday night, December 5, from the Pasig City Jail Women’s Dormitory.</p><p>According to a report submitted to BuCor Officer-in-Charge Asec. Al Perreras by CIW Chief CT/Supt. Marjorie Ann Sanidad, the three women arrived at the RDC at 10:17 p.m., escorted by BJMP personnel led by JCINSP Jean Olive Unciano, warden of the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/2025/12/5/alice-guo-transferred-to-women-s-prison-in-mandaluyong-2234">Alice Guo transferred to women&#x27;s prison in Mandaluyong</a></div><p>Their transfer was carried out under a Mittimus Order issued by Judge Annielyn B. Mendes-Cabels of Regional Trial Court Branch 167.</p><p>Guo, also known as Guo Hua Ping, now assigned Prison No. C225P-531 along with Cruz (C225P-530) and Carreon (C225P-529), was sentenced to life imprisonment and fined P2 million for qualified trafficking.</p><p>Sanidad said that the five-day quarantine is a standard protocol for all newly committed persons deprived of liberty at the CIW.</p><p>During this period, Guo, Cruz, and Carreon will undergo a “thorough medical examination” designed to assess their physical condition and ensure they pose no health risks to the general prison population.</p><p>Following the quarantine, “they will be transferred to the RDC&#x27;s regular dormitory, where they will stay for 55 days and undergo the mandatory orientation, diagnostics, and qualification.”</p><p>After completing the full 60-day RDC process, the three women will be assigned to their designated quarters at the Maximum Security Camp, consistent with regulations for persons sentenced to life imprisonment.</p><p>“As newly committed persons deprived of liberty, the 55-day assessment period following the five-day quarantine is very important to help determine their psychological and physical needs, as this information will be used by the institution to create an individualized treatment plan or program,” said BuCor Director General Gregorio Pio P.
