<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/17652753380171759313761751175567923524920180219-commission-on-audit-jc-4530.webp" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>Commission on Audit in Quezon City. Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News/File </div>MANILA – The Commission on Audit (COA) called out the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) for its shortcomings in preserving billions worth of sequestered assets of the Marcos family and their associates, which rendered the properties susceptible to deterioration or loss.In its 2024 audit report, COA found that the PCGG failed to annotate &quot;lis pendens&quot; or notice of pending litigation on the titles of at least 269 sequestered real properties worth P3.11 billion, which resulted in 11 being sold while litigation was still ongoing.“As a result, 11 properties totaling 170,484.4 sq.m. and valued at ₱641.54 million were found to have been transferred or sold while legal proceedings were still ongoing, without any preventive action from the agency.
