MANILA — Ten police officers of Taguig Substation 5 in Barangay Tipas have been relieved from their posts for allegedly serving a fake warrant of arrest to rob a woman's house.

Authorities say the incident happened last Sunday. CCTV footage showed numerous cops entering the victim's house, with some even not even in full uniform.

The officials told the victim they would be serving a warrant of arrest related to illegal drugs. The victim's son, a minor, was also allegedly hurt in the incident.

The victim and her daughter rode the officers' police mobile as they were supposedly being brought to the barangay office. The victim jumped out of the vehicle when it passed the barangay hall without stopping.

The victim's daughter sustained a head injury in the attempt to escape.

The victim's family said three cellphones are missing from their store, along with P50,000 cash.

Police B.Gen. Anthony Aberin, chief of the National Capital Region Police Office, ordered the cops' dismissal.

They will also be facing charges of Robbery with Violence or Intimidation, Coercion, at Malicious Mischief.

The 10 police personnel refused to give a statement when asked for comment by the ABS-CBN News team.

They will be brought before Police Gen. Rommel Marbil, Philippine National Police chief on Wednesday, February 12.
