Almost everybody celebrates their love on February 14.

But for some, its just not practical or even possible because of work, studies, or any other millions of reasons a massive crowd on a payday weekend gives.

That doesn't mean though that a date to mark the special day can't happen anymore.

Some would say the day after Valentine’s can be even more special. It offers the chance to enjoy meaningful moments without the rush.

Manila can give lovebirds that post-Valentine’s vibe by exploring RIzal Park, the National Museum of Anthropology and the National Museum of Natural History.

A stroll through Rizal Park

A walk through Rizal Park’s scenic and historic spots offers a calm and relaxed start to a date, giving couples the chance to talk and enjoy each other’s company. Gardens, the dancing fountain, and gazebos provide the perfect backdrop for a laid back date.

Taking in culture and history

The National Museum of Natural History and  National Museum of Anthropology provides a more educational date.

Visitors can take a look at the exhibits that show the country’s biodiversity highlighted by the Tree of Life atrium and the skeleton of Lolong, the largest saltwater crocodile held in captivity in the Philippines.

The National Museum of Anthropology meanwhile exhibits artifacts that show the heritage of the Philippines. It shows various archaeological collections that give a glimpse into culture and history.
