Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Senatorial Candidate Raul Lambino answers questions during Harapan 2025 at the ABS-CBN headquarters in Quezon City on February 18, 2025. <em>Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA – Senatorial aspirant Raul Lambino on Tuesday described the feud between the Marcoses and Dutertes as a fight between the elites and the masses, saying politics came in the way of public service. </p><p>Lambino, a lawyer and a former Presidential Adviser for Northern Luzon under then-President Rodrigo Duterte, said he did not expect that President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte would have a fallout. </p><p>“Hindi natin inaasahan na ganon ang mangyayari. Yun ang kalunos-lunos diyan na nawala tayo ng pag-asa ng pagkakaroon ng bagong Pilipinas,” said Lambino. </p><p>Lambino speculated that the Marcos administration wanted to convict the Vice President before June 30 so a new vice president could assume office. </p><p>“Pinupwersa nila na dapat mayroon nang impeachment court ang Senado, mag-convene as an impeachment court at aapurahin nila yan before June 30 – magkaroon ng judgment o conviction para mapalitan ang bise presidente,” he said. </p><p>“Ang sumusuporta dito sa Pangulo ay mga oligarchs. Alam naman natin yun.
