John Rex Laudiangco, spokesperson of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), emphasized that each agency has its own accountability in assuring the public of safe and fair elections.  </p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/2/4/senate-ratifies-final-barmm-elections-postponement-bill-1856">Senate ratifies final BARMM elections postponement bill</a></div><p>“Tulungan po natin ang bawat Pilipino na marinig ang boses sa halalan, makalabas ng bahay ng walang takot, makaboto ng malaya at makauwi ng matiwasay sa kani-kanilang tahanan… Ang pinagsama-samang aspirations sa pagtupad sa ating tungkulin ‘yon po ang totoong backbone ng ating kalayaan at demokrasya,” said Laudiangco.   </p><p>Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police has assured that “it remains steadfast in its duty to protect the sanctity of the ballot and uphold the rule of law throughout the 2025 elections.”  </p><p>“Ang gusto naming specific target, that we want to make sure that 2025 will be the safest elections and to remind the people is not only us but all of us. Religious sector, community po natin, it is a shared responsibility for a fair election… sa Bagong Pilipinas ang gusto nating lahat sa eleksyong ito ay safe ka,” said PNP Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil.  </p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/1/30/pnp-to-discuss-implementation-of-oplan-katok-with-comelec-1438">PNP to discuss implementation of ‘Oplan Katok’ with Comelec</a></div><p>With this, the PNP has procured 372 new units of PNP light motorcycles and 130 units of personnel carrier 4x4 double cabs for police stations and different units across the country. </p><p>These will improve police visibility and response to any eventualities especially in crime-prone areas during the elections.  </p><p>AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. said that as a deputized agency of the Comelec, they will assist in securing polling centers, emphasizing that they have deployments in different parts of the country.  </p><p>“Halos lahat po ng areas ay magde-deploy ang Armed Forces of the Philippines dahil tutulungan po natin… tutulong rin po tayo doon sa pagpuksa ng mga PAGs o tinatawag nating Private Armed Groups,” Brawner added.  </p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/1/29/admin-bets-still-leading-polls-for-senatorial-race-sws-2216">Admin bets still leading polls for senatorial race: SWS</a></div><p>Moreover, Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara, through Usec. Trygve Olaivar, emphasized the role of teachers in the success of the electoral process.  </p><p>“The Department of Education plays a vital role in this process. Every election, thousands of teachers step forward not as mere facilitators but as defenders of democracy. They stand in the frontlines ensuring that every vote is counted, that every voice is respected.
