<p>MANILA — A Philippine lawmaker tagged as “delulu” or “delusional” false claims made on Chinese social media platforms that Palawan used to belong to China. </p><p>“Even this absurd app that presents Palawan as part of their territory, delulu! …I mean, it&#x27;s a product of a crazy imagination!” Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman said on Monday.</p><p>She and House Deputy Majority Leader and La Union 1st District Representative Paolo Ortega urged Filipino voters to elect officials, who are pro-Philippines in their stand on issues involving other countries.</p><p>“Kaya nga, importante na maging mapanuri ang lahat ng mga botanteng Pilipino... Suriin natin ang ating mga kandidato, especially ‘yung mga nasa Senado. Let&#x27;s try to read between the lines. Kanino ba talaga ang kanilang loyalty? Sa ating bansa ba? Sa welfare ba ng Filipino people versus vested interests?” Roman said.</p><p>“Huwag susuportahan ‘yung mga mouthpiece eh, ‘yung hindi pro-Pilipinas… Pag ang kinakampihan mo na hindi Pinoy, may problema na talaga doon. That&#x27;s the truth... We do not handle cash or what, everything comes in a form of services to our constituents through the different government agencies. So, baka mali ‘yung presumption niya na ang laki-laki ng discretionary funds naming mga congressmen. It&#x27;s needs-based,” she explained.</p><p>Ortega, meanwhile, said he is amenable to giving up a portion of his salary.</p><p>“Hindi pa rin kakasya… Pero wala namang question sa West Philippine Sea, nakita n’yo naman, number one priority ng House of Representatives ‘yun. Pero ‘yung sweldo ko, siguro magtitira na lang ako ng pang-grocery, ‘pag ibinigay ko,” he said.</p>
