On Sunday, March 2, 2025, TV Patrol Weekend reported about a shooting incident in General Santos City, where three men were injured the previous day. In the report, ABS-CBN News inadvertently used three photos of Senator Francis Tolentino with his campaign staff in General Santos City. Senator Tolentino's office later said the photos were taken last February 27, 2025 during his visit to the city for the Kalilangan Festival.

ABS-CBN News acknowledges that the use of the photos was a mistake. The images are not connected to the news report on the March 1 shooting incident.

As soon as the error was flagged on March 2, Sunday night, ABS-CBN immediately rectified the error by taking down the report from all its digital properties, including YouTube, Facebook, and Tiktok.

ABS-CBN Integrated News apologizes for the unintentional error. The news management is looking into this matter and reviewing editorial processes to avoid similar mistakes.
