Job Manahan, ABS-CBN News</div>MANILA – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Wednesday launched its “LottoMatik” device as it sought to make lotto tickets and games accessible and available even in remote areas in the country.LottoMatik, PCSO said, is an automated terminal powered by DFNN capable of providing games from the agency. PCSO General Manager Mel Robles said the agency sought to distribute an initial 3,000 point-of-sale devices nationwide and would be available in existing sari-sari stores, pawnshops, and other small-scale businesses. The touch-screen device and training as a LottoMatik agent would be available for P50,000, inclusive of P5,000 cash bond, P20,000 pre-load betting funds, and marketing materials. “For the restriction, an existing lotto outlet, it has to be 100 meters away from the existing lotto system that we have now but among LottoMatik agents, wala nang restriction doon because we are really democratizing it,” said Robles. The PCSO official said LottoMatik will just complement the over 6,000 Lotto outlets around the Philippines, as the program’s main goal is to reach areas that do not have these outlets. “We are trying to deploy this as much as many. It is a product, hindi na [lotto] store… We are also protecting the existing ones by putting a 100 meter distance [from the LottoMatik]” Robles told the media.   “Really the target initially is to go to places where there are no lotto outlets, terminals,” he said. Interested LottoMatik agents may go to the <a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.lottomatik.com/agent/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">PCSO website</a> for more details.
